The READING EAGLE is reporting that a buyer has been found for News-Talk WEEU-A/READING, the station that is not being included in the bankrupt newspaper parent company's sale to MEDIANEWS GROUP. The radio station is under contract to be sold to TWILIGHT BROADCASTING for an undisclosed price, with separate agreements covering the license and a lease for the studio and towers.
TWILIGHT BROADCASTING GM TODD ADKINS told the EAGLE that his company intends to keep all 11 members of WEEU's staff on board. MEDIANEWS announced last month that it would close WEEU if the station was not sold before the newspaper deal closes on JUNE 30th.
TWILIGHT, headed by ROBERT LOWE, owns Sports WKQW-A and AC WKQW-F/OIL CITY, PA.
