BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP Active Rock WMMR/PHILADELPHIA's PRESTON & STEVE morning show set a record on SATURDAY, JUNE 15th during the 14th annual I Bleed For PRESTON & STEVE Blood Drive to benefit The AMERICAN RED CROSS PENN-JERSEY Blood Services Region.
WMMR listeners donated a record 1,443 productive units of blood for the RED CROSS. The annual I Bleed For PRESTON & STEVE Blood Drive’s 14-year total for the single day-single collection is 16,410 pints of blood.
“I Bleed for PRESTON & STEVE is one of the most highly-anticipated blood drives in our region for our donors, volunteers and staff, alike,” said ALANA MAUGER, AMERICAN RED CROSS Communications Manager for the PENN-JERSEY Blood Services Region. “The blood we collected at this year’s drive alone will help up to 4,329 patients battle illness and injury. Many thanks to the entire WMMR team for their commitment to serve the Greater PHILADELPHIA community. Together, we’re literally helping save lives.”
“Our morning show and the station’s incredibly generous listeners never cease to amaze me,” said WMMR PD BILL WESTON. “PRESTON & STEVE just returned from D.C. after being recognized at the 2019 NAB’s Service to AMERICA Awards for their annual Food Drive and four days later, presented such an important, life-saving event.”
