The price by which the READING EAGLE's WEEU BROADCASTING COMPANY is selling News-Talk WEEU-A/READING, PA to TWILIGHT BROADCASTING, INC. is $88,500 plus a time brokerage agreement before closing. The price, which includes licenses, call letters, and goodwill but not the facilities, which are being separately leased to TWILIGHT, was undisclosed when the spinoff from the bankrupt parent newspaper's sale to MEDIANEWS GROUP was announced last week.

In addition, the price for DANIEL J. FARR's BACKYARD BROADCASTING PA, LLC's sale of Country WILQ, Hot AC WLMY, and Sports WWPA-A-W267BJ (ESPN RADIO 1340)/WILLIAMSPORT, PA; Rock WZXR/SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA; Rock WCXR/LEWISBURG, PA; and Classic Hits WBZD/MUNCY, PA to VAN A. MICHAEL's BACKYARD BROADCASTING OF PENNSYLVANIA, LLC is $5.9 million. The price was not disclosed when broker KALIL & CO. disclosed the deal on MONDAY.

In other filings with the FCC, applying for STAs were EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION (WLJV/SPOTSYLVANIA, VA, temporary facility due to tower collapse); BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION (WCXI-A/FENTON, MI, operation from site specified in construction permit at reduced power); NORTHEAST WASHINGTON COMMUNITY RADIO GUILD (KCHW/CHEWELAH, WA, reduced power due to broken power divider); and BORINQUEN BROADCASTING CO., INC. (WVJP-A/CAGUAS, PR, antenna replacement at lower height).

Filing for Silent STAs were ACCESS.1 TEXAS LICENSE COMPANY LLC (KCUL-F/MARSHALL, TX, financially unable to continue operations); FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. (booster WCGH-FM1/BRADFORD, PA, equipment needs repair/replacement); and CARTER MEDIA LLC (KAOL-A/CARROLLTON, MO, flooding).

And WALKER FM HOLDINGS, LLC has closed on the sale of Country KJDL-F (RED-DIRT REBEL 105.3 FM)/LEVELLAND-LUBBOCK, TX to CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES OF THE VALLEY, INC. for $312,500.
