ENTERCOM Sports KWFN (97.3 THE FAN)/SAN DIEGO has found a fulltime spot in its lineup for market veteran COACH JOHN KENTERA, installing him as the stations' noon-3p (PT) weekday host, starting JULY 1st. KENTERA, who has been filling in for various dayparts including mornings between DAN SILEO's exit and BEN HIGGINS and STEVE WOODS' arrival earlier this year, bumps FOX SPORTS RADIO's DOUG GOTTLIEB off the schedule.
“We’re thrilled to add COACH KENTERA to 97.3 THE FAN’s weekday lineup,” said SVP/Market Manager BOB BOLINGER. “COACH has a rich history in SAN DIEGO and is truly beloved by the community, sports fans and advertising partners alike.”
“After over 30 years in the radio business, I look forward to being a full-time member of the 97.3 THE FAN team,” said KENTERA, who was best known for his 2003-15 stint at crosstown BCA Sports XEPRS-A (THE MIGHTY 1090) and who hosts PADRES pre-game and post-game shows and the weekly FALL high school football show for THE FAN. “It will be a pleasure to contribute to the continued success of this station alongside an extremely professional group that has the utmost desire to bring top notch sports talk to the beautiful city of SAN DIEGO and its loyal fans.”
