Congratulations to CODY ALAN, who hosted his 2000th episode of “CMT After MidNite” last night (6/27), and was surprised by special in-studio guests GARTH BROOKS and KEITH URBAN, as well as a call-in from THOMAS RHETT.
ALAN celebrated his fifth anniversary as the show’s host in JANUARY. Among his other milestones, ALAN is also celebrating the 100th episode of his “CODY Cast” podcast and the 10th anniversary of the PREMIERE NETWORKS-syndicated show “CMT Radio Live with CODY ALAN.”
During last night’s broadcast, BROOKS, who was ALAN’s first “After MidNite” guest in 2014, quipped, “Do me a favor – can you pencil me in for 4,000?” During his call, RHETT said, “I just wanted to say thanks for the years of support from you and your friendship, and for always being there and being a champion for me and my music and my videos.”
Later in show, URBAN prompted ALAN to share his biggest “train wreck memory” from his time as host. ALAN replied, “When I asked GEORGE STRAIT if he was on TWITTER. That probably was not a good place to go.” In that interview, STRAIT famously replied, “I don’t tweet, I twang!”
