Westwood One Survey Shows Heavy esports Watchers, Video Game Players Also Heavy Users Of Radio, Podcasts, Other Media

A survey by WESTWOOD ONE using MARU/MATCHBOX concluded that heavy esports watchers and video game players are also heavy media consumers, and are heavy radio and podcast consumers in particular.
The study showed esports watchers twice as likely to be heavy AM/FM radio listeners (55% of heavy esports watchers are heavy AM/FM radio listeners, listening to 16 or more hours of AM/FM radio per week); 46% of heavy video game players also listen to AM/FM radio 16 or more hours per week. 50% of heavy esports watchers also listen to 16 or more hours of podcasts per week, and 40% of heavy video game players are podcast listeners as well. The numbers also show high consumption of other media, in particular streaming video and TV.
