ENTERCOM Classic Hits WCBS-F/NEW YORK midday host DAN TAYLOR has exited the station, and the NEW YORK POST reports that TAYLOR's exit may be tied to the NEW YORK Attorney General's investigation into workplace misconduct issues at CBS and its current and former subsidiaries, including CBS RADIO.
The report notes that Attorney General LETITIA JAMES has been probing CBS as an outgrowth of the LES MOONVES investigation and the former CBS RADIO, now part of ENTERCOM, has drawn JAMES' scrutiny for allegations that were reported last year by the POST and based on producer CRAIG LENTI's 2007 complaint to CBS human resources of TAYLOR, then the morning host at CBS-FM, using derogatory terms for Jews, gays, and lesbians. TAYLOR's name has been excised from the CBS-FM website, with his page and listing in the daily schedule gone; the station schedule presently skips over middays, with no replacement or placeholder listed for TAYLOR's 10a-3p shift. TAYLOR hosted mornings at CBS-FM in 2007-14 and moved to middays with SCOTT SHANNON's arrival in 2014.
ENTERCOM is already dealing with another sexual harassment case at the NEW YORK cluster, defending itself in a civil suit by former Sports WFAN-A-F AE LAUREN LOCKWOOD that WFAN midday co-host JOE BENIGNO propositioned her for a threesome and that she was fired when she resisted and complained.
