This week we chat with PROMOSUITE VP/Sales RACHEL FIELD about the vibe at radio and her view of how things are developing out there in a very competitive landscape.
FIELD gets into the trenches with radio on the phone and at conventions and events, and feels that things are getting better: “For many years, the vibe on the convention circuit was a little doom-and-gloom … Fortunately, the industry has shown incredible resilience and the attitude has brightened."
She speaks on the phone and in-person to owners, managers, programmers, and promotion/marketing execs and noted, “I’m always proud to hear how radio continues to find creative ways of connecting local businesses with their listeners.”
And, FIELD sees radio grasping any and all opportunities to shine: "“Summer is the perfect time to get out in the local community and connect with listeners in memorable ways. The key is to always stay on-brand. Whether it’s a major concert, a simple van appearance, a live remote or a street team member giving away T-shirts on the beach, it’s important to connect listeners back to your brand.”
