WJVC To Host Fundraiser For Local Police Charity

JVC BROADCASTING Country WJVC (96.1 MY COUNTRY)/LONG ISLAND, NY will host “BBQ 4 The Blue,” on SUNDAY, AUGUST 25th at noon (ET). The event, which celebrates and salutes local law enforcement, will feature performers MICHAEL RAY, LANCO and the station’s DJ DEUCE, and will include family activities, food, beverages, vendor booths, and emergency apparatus displays.

A portion of every $25 ticket sold goes to local non-profit BROTHERHOOD OF THE FALLEN of SUFFOLK COUNTY, which covers travel costs associated with sending police officers to funerals across the country, and gives a monetary donation to the families of fallen officers to supplement their income in the wake of their loss.

The event will be held at CHALET PLAZA on the grounds of the LONG ISLAND COMMUNITY HOSPITAL AMPHITHEATER at BALD HILL. Purchase tickets here.
