No new station sale transactions appeared in the FCC database WEDNESDAY morning (7/10). The one deal making it to the list was a filing for the transfer of W235CY/WINSTON-SALEM, NC by TRUTH BROADCASTING CORPORATION to BLUE RIDGE BROADCASTING CORPORATION, which was previously reported in MAY as part of the sale of Religion WSMX-A/WINSTON-SALEM for $300,000.
Among the other filings appearing TODAY, IMMACULATE HEART MEDIA, INC. has applied for an STA to operate WKBM-A/SANDWICH, IL with reduced power nondirectionally at night due to the directional antenna pattern being "stuck" in daytime mode.
And ACCESS.1 LOUISIANA HOLDING COMPANY LLC has filed for a Silent STA for KSYR/BENTON, LA because the "licensee is financially unable to maintain current operations."
Also, the price for the previously-reported sale by BILL BUCHANAN's TRINITY RIVER VALLEY BROADCASTING CO. of Oldies KSHN/LIBERTY, TX to HOUSTON CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING is $1.3 million, according to brokers SCOTT KNOBLAUCH of SPECTRUM MEDIA and BILL WHITLEY of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP. The buyer took over programming of KSHN with the Contemporary Christian format originating at its KSBJ/HUMBLE-HOUSTON on JULY 2nd.
