CBS RADIO Country KFRG/RIVERSIDE-SAN BERNARDINO morning stud TOMMY C of the "FROGMEN IN THE MORNING" reported great success with the local firefighters' "SPARK OF LOVE TOY DRIVE."
The station auctioned off two packages: Package 1 featured a PLAYSTATION 3 and a TMX ELMO, and Package 2 included a TMX ELMO and a CMA LES PAUL-autographed guitar. In the final five minutes of the drive, local business owner LARRY STEWART stepped up, outbidding everyone with $8,000 for Package 1 and $5,500 for Package 2, a total of $13,500 going to help kids in the area have a brighter CHRISTMAS.
By the way, last year Mr. STEWART was no SCROOGE either, donating over $10,000 for an X-BOX 360.
