2019 Premios Juventud A Ratings Hit

The Award

The “2019 PREMIOS JUVENTUD” awards show, held last THURSDAY held at the WATSCO CENTER OF CORAL GABLES, FL, was a ratings hit nationwide. The bilingual event, which seeks to inspire, motivate and empower young Latinos, was hosted by the CNCO band, Argentine singer LALI and actress/conductor ALEJANDRA ESPINOZA.

The broadcast of the award ceremonies topped all of the English-language broadcast channels in THURSDAY’s primetime ratings, THEWRAP reports. UNIVISION was first in ratings with a 0.7 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demo, with an average of 1.8 million total viewers, which finished fifth, according to preliminary numbers. 

PREMIOS JUVENTUD is a product of UNIVISION featuring artists on HAIM SABAN's new music group (NET NEWS, 7/17). REYKON, DANIEL EL TRAVIESCO and CHESCA made their television debuts on the program. TRAVIESCO performed his latest single, "Seguimos Siendo Panas," and was one of the night's big winners, grabbing the “Best LOL Award”, which recognizes the best creators of content for networks. Another program highlight featured REYKON and MALUMA performing their current release, "Latina."

At the event's Summer Party, CHESCA performed the PEDRO CAPO & FARRUKO song "Calma," which went on to win the "Can't Get Enough Of This Song" award.
