NASHVILLE-based SMACKSONGS has signed songwriter SCOTT STEPAKOFF to a publishing deal. STEPAKOFF moved to NASHVILLE in 2004 and has written songs cut by TIM MCGRAW, KELSEA BALLERINI, JAKE OWEN, KIP MOORE and WALKER HAYES, among others. He joins the company’s roster of writers, producers and artists under the leadership of songwriters SHANE MCANALLY and JOSH OSBORNE.
“I am so fired up to be part of the SMACK team,” STEPAKOFF said. “I have had the honor of writing songs with SHANE MCANALLY and JOSH OSBORNE over the years, and I am a big fan of the family/songwriter-driven environment they have built at SMACK. You really get the feeling when you walk in the building that you are in on something special.”
“I’ve had the privilege of writing with SCOTT for years, so it’s a very seamless transition for us to now be working together," SMACKSONGS co-owner and CEO MCANALLY stated. "He is a songwriter’s songwriter and always makes everyone in the room better. I am so honored he is trusting SMACK to help take his career to the next level, which our team will undoubtedly do.”
