NEXTMEDIA AC KBAY/SAN JOSE middayer JONA DENZ-HAMILTON checks in with ALL ACCESS to share that the first in a series of benefit concerts that will be held to raise funds for BAY AREA radio legend DENNIS ERECTUS is set.
JONA said, "DENNIS suffered a heart attack on THANSGIVING that kept him in a coma for nearly four weeks. This past week he surprised the doctors and the rest of us by beginning to speak again. He has a long way to go, but when you hear a doctor say 'miracle,' it's energizing!"
The concert will be held FRIDAY, JANUARY 12 at the AVALON in SANTA CLARA, CA. Featured bands include GREG KHIN (who's also a DJ on SAN JOSE's KFOX) with DJ pal CHRIS JACKSON, a reunion of HUSH featuring ROBERT BERRY (of CARL PALMER & KEITH EMERSON's band), SAN JOSE Rock & Roll Hall of Famers THE SYNDICATE OF SOUND and THE COUNT FIVE, plus several other local rockers.
