Revenues Off, Income Up For Saga In Second Quarter

SAGA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. second quarter 2019 net revenue declined slightly from $32.234 million to $32.191 million but net income rose 13.5% to $4.7 million. Operating income increased 10% to $6.6 million, and diluted earnings per share rose from 70 to 80 cents. Free cash flow fell $437 thousand to $5.6 million, attributed to a $542,000 increase in capital expenditures including capital costs associated with recent acquisitions.

On a same station basis, revenue fell $1.2 million to $31.1 million, and operating income increased $383 thousand to $6.4 million.
