Cromwell Radio/Mattoon Continues Successful Fundraising Run For St. Jude

CROMWELL RADIO GROUP Country WMCI/MATTOON, IL and its sister stations hosted their ninth annual MATTOON to PEORIA, IL run to benefit ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL on FRIDAY, AUGUST 2nd. More than 115 runners and volunteers took part, helping raise more than $203,680 for the hospital. That marked the team’s biggest donation in the event’s history. In the past nine years, the event has raised more than $1.1 million for ST. JUDE.

Kudos to WMCI morning co-host and Promotions Dir. RENEE FONNER, who is co-coordinator of the run. FONNER and her morning show co-host (and WMCI PD), BUB MCCULLOUGH, broadcast their show live from the start of the race each year.
