MIKE MOORE has departed his position as Dir./Country Programming for ENTERCOM and VP/Programming for the company’s PORTLAND, OR cluster following the elimination of the job he has held for 16 years. His duties included day-to-day programming for Country KWJJ (99.5 THE WOLF), and encompassed Country Format Captain responsibilities for ENTERCOM from 2006 until earlier this year.
MOORE tells ALL ACCESS, “Any time you can spend 16 years in this business in one place, you have to leave feeling grateful, and I do. I’m proud of the radio station and the staff I was honored to work with, and what we accomplished together. I couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds.”
The PORTLAND cluster he oversaw also includes HOT AC KRSK (105.1 THE BUZZ), Sports KFXX (1080 THE FAN), Sports KMTT (910 ESPN), Classic Rock KGON, Alternative KNRK (94/7 ALTERNATIVE PORTLAND), ADULT HITS KYCH (97.1 CHARLIE), ALTERNATIVE KNRK-HD2 (94/7 TOO) and Blues KGON-HD2 (WATERFRONT BLUES RADIO).
MOORE joined ENTERCOM to program KWJJ after leaving iHEARTMEDIA WSIX/NASHVILLE in SEPTEMBER of 2003, and was promoted to OM for ENTERCOM/PORTLAND in JANUARY 2013. His career has also included stints with iHEARTMEDIA in HARTFORD, and COX MEDIA GROUP in ORLANDO. Read ALL ACCESS’ 2018 “Power Player” interview with MOORE here.
