WHL's Winnipeg Ice Ink 5-Year Broadcast/Streaming Deal With CJOB/Winnipeg

The WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE's WINNIPEG ICE have inked a five-year deal with CORUS News-Talk CJOB-A/WINNIPEG for the junior hockey club's games to air on the station and website. SATURDAY and SUNDAY games will air on CJOB, and all games will be streamed on CJOB.com. The deal also includes broadcast rights to the MANITOBA JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE's WINNIPEG BLUES. The ICE are the former KOOTENAY ICE and are playing their first season in WINNIPEG after moving from CRANBROOK, BC. BRANT HILTON is remaining with the ICE for his third season as the radio voice of the club.
“There has been a lot of excitement leading up to the ICE’s first season in WINNIPEG,” ICE Pres./GM MATT COCKRELL said. “The partnership with 680 CJOB is an opportunity for the ICE to align with an organization that is also focused on community and grassroots engagement.”
