The ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC (ACM) has announced its elected officers, voted by the ACM membership, for the 2019-2020 term. The industry professionals who are stepping into their roles include: ED WARM of CHICAGO venue JOE'S LIVE as Chairman; CITY NATIONAL BANK's LORI BADGETT as Pres.; COUNTRY AIRCHECK's CHUCK ALY as VP; FBMM's CARMEN ROMANO as Treasurer (for a three-year term); WME's GAYLE HOLCOMB as Sergeant-At-Arms; PGM CONNECTIONS' PAUL MOORE as Parliamentarian; and the ACM's TOMMY MOORE as Secretary.
This term will be the first year these positions become effective in AUGUST. Prior officer terms were in effect from NOVEMBER to NOVEMBER.
“I’ve greatly enjoyed my involvement with the ACADEMY, and am looking forward to carrying the torch from DUANE [CLARK]. I’m proud to work with the many talented industry people who volunteer their time for our artists, industry and fans,” WARM said.
Previous ACM Chairman CLARK added, “The ACADEMY's history is one of continually building upon its successes and supporting the artists we love, and the music they create that shapes our culture. I am grateful for and proud of the hard work and dedication of the ACADEMY's board, our partners and our passionate staff. With ED stepping in as Chairman, I am confident we are in the best hands to guide our organization to new heights."
