ENTERCOM News-Talk WBT-A-F/CHARLOTTE collected over 33,000 jars of peanut butter for the SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF METROLINA in its 9th annual “WBT Peanut Butter 'n JULY Food Drive” this year.
This year's drive included an option for shoppers at CHARLOTTE-area HARRIS TEETER supermarkets to elect to "virtually add" a jar of peanut butter at checkout to be donated to the drive, which was supplemented by live broadcasts from HARRIS TEETER stores by morning host BO THOMPSON and afternoon host JOHN HANCOCK.
“This program is important to the entire WBT listening family,” said SVP/Market Manager MATTHEW HANLON. “I’m proud of our community’s efforts in supporting the SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF METROLINA’s selfless mission.”
