Stations Involved In Salem-Immaculate Heart Deal Named

The stations included in yesterday's announced sale of nine AM stations and four translators by SALEM MEDIA GROUP subsidiaries to IMMACULATE HEART MEDIA's RELEVANT RADIO for $8,731,125 have been revealed in contracts filed with the FCC and appearing in the Commission's database FRIDAY morning.

The transactions included in the deal include INSPIRATION MEDIA OF TEXAS, LLC selling KTNO-A/UNIVERSITY PARK-DALLAS, TX; SALEM COMMUNICATIONS HOLDING CORP. selling KRDY-A/SAN ANTONIO, KTEK-A-K241CM/ALVIN-HOUSTON, KXFN-A-K287BY/ST. LOUIS, WAFS-A/ATLANTA, WSDZ-A-K236CS/BELLEVILLE, IL-ST. LOUIS, and WWDJ-A/BOSTON; SALEM MEDIA OF COLORADO selling KDMT-A/ARVADA-DENVER; and SALEM MEDIA OF MASSACHUSETTS selling WHKZ-A-W298CX/YOUNGSTOWN, OH.

In other filings with the FCC, WILLIAM JEWELL COLLEGE is selling KWJC/LIBERTY, MO to THE CURATORS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI for $2 million plus underwriting announcements.

SOUTHERN NEVADA EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTERS is selling Contemporary Christian KVKL (K-LOVE)/LAS VEGAS and KEKL (K-LOVE)/MESQUITE, NV to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $597,000. The stations are affiliates of EMF's K-LOVE network.

CORNERSTONE BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling WKWJ/KEY WEST, FL to CHRISTIAN RADIO FELLOWSHIP, INC. for $50,000.

Applying for STAs were KEKAHU FOUNDATION, INC. (KAQA/KILAUEA, HI, reduced power due to weather damage); HAWAII PUBLIC RADIO, INC. (KIPL/LIHUE, HI, reduced power due to weather damage); ALPHA MEDIA LICENSEE LLC (WING-A/DAYTON, nondirectional at reduced power due to damage to directional antenna system); receiver STEVE J. FITZPATRICK (KEIN-A/GREAT FALLS, MT, filing to reflect prior periods of silence while station was in receivership and sale was pending); GOLDEN ISLES BROADCASTING, LLC (WSSI/DARIEN, GA, reduced power at alternate site due to damage from Hurricane Matthew and decision by tower owner iHEARTMEDIA not to rebuild that site); SPIRIT COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (WUFM/COLUMBUS, OH, reduced power with backup transmitter due to technical failure); and HIGH PLAINS RADIO NETWORK, LLC (KKNM/BOVINA, TX, reduced power due to lightning strike).

SALT LAKE CITY COMMUNITY RADIO has applied for a Silent STA for KZSK-LP/SALT LAKE CITY due to transmitter issues.

EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for K283CP/BILLINGS, MT due to the loss of its primary station.

MM&K OF ALVA INC. has closed on the sale of Oldies KALV-A (GOOD TIME OLDIES 1430)/ALVA, OK to BLUE SKY MEDIA, LLC for $136,000.

CHARLES M. ANDERSON has closed on the sale of W224DI/INDIANAPOLIS (formerly in ELIZABETHTOWN, KY) to RADIO ONE OF INDIANA, LLC for $200,000.  The translator will rebroadcast Gospel WTLC-A (AM 1310 THE LIGHT)/INDIANAPOLIS.

SOUND IDEAS, LLC has closed on the sale of Silent WULA-A and Classic Hits WYDK (REWIND 97.9)/EUFAULA, AL to JDK RADIO, LLC for $150,000.

ENTERCOM LICENSE, LLC has closed on the sale of Sports KMPS-A (CBS SPORTS RADIO 910)/HESPERIA, CA and Classic Hits KVFG (THE ROUTE 103)/VICTORVILLE, CA to EL DORADO BROADCASTING's EDB VV LICENSE LLC for $1 million.

iHEARTMEDIA's CITICASTERS LICENSES, INC. has closed on the swap of W262CP/BAYONET POINT, FL to SALEM COMMUNICATIONS HOLDING CORPORATION for W276CR/BRADENTON, FL.  W262CP will rebroadcast SALEM's Religion WTBN-A (FAITHTALK)/PINELLAS PARK-TAMPA, FL while W276CR will rebroadcast iHEART's Spanish Hits WRUB (RUMBA 106.5)/SARASOTA.

And JUAN ALBERTO AYALA has closed on the transfer of K300DU/GREENSHORES, TX and K262DK/MUSCATEL, CA to attorney DAN J. ALPERT's GINGER BROADCASTING for no consideration.
