TODAY (8/20) is the 99th birthday of ENTERCOM News WWJ-A/DETROIT.
WWJ signed on the air on AUGUST 20, 1920 as THE DETROIT NEWS' 8MK, later becoming WBL and then WWJ; the station claims to be the first radio station in the world to air regularly scheduled daily shows.
