Beasley Hands Out Its Outstanding Achievement Awards

BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP presented its annual Outstanding Achievement Awards at the company’s annual Management Meeting on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21st at the RITTENHOUSE HOTEL in PHILADELPHIA. Legendary WMGK/PHILADELPHIA midday host DEBBI CALTON was recognized for her many contributions on the station over the past 26 years and in the radio industry, and WMMR/PHILADELPHIA was also honored for its recent year-long celebration of the station’s 50th anniversary on the airwaves in PHILADELPHIA. 

Musical performances were by two Country acts, WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE recording artist HUNTER HAYES with an opening performance by TRIPLE TIGERS band GONE WEST. 

The 2019 Winners include:

• Market Manager of the Year: MARY MENNA/BOSTON
• Station of the Year (Large Market): WMMR/PHILADELPHIA 
• Station of the Year (Medium Market): WDHA/NEW JERSEY
• Dir./Sales (DOS) of the Year: PAUL BLAKE/PHILADELPHIA
• PD of the Year: Mike Thomas, WBZ (98.5 THE SPORTS HUB)/BOSTON 
• Digital Content Professional of the Year: RACHEL PITTS/TAMPA
• Digital Sales Professional of the Year: CHRIS LOBONO/BOSTON
• Technology Award: KEITH SMEAL/PHILADELPHIA
• Market Controller of the Year: JOHN COURY/BOSTON

“Our annual Outstanding Achievement Awards dinner and ceremony recognizes the outstanding contributions made by our incredible employees and stations who give their 'BEASLEY Best' on a daily basis,” CEO CAROLINE BEASLEY said. “We are so very proud to have them all in our radio family.”
