Legendary toy company HASBRO, which produces MR. POTATO HEAD, MONOPOLY, G.I. JOE, TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY, POWER RANGERS and more, has purchased ENTERTAINMENT ONE, a multimedia company responsible for children’s franchises PEPPA PIG, PJ MASKS and others, ROLLING STONE reports.
Also involved in the transaction is ENTERTAINMENT ONE's music division -- featuring an independent label that generated more than $30 million in revenue in the first quarter of 2019 ... as well as the catalog of DEATH ROW RECORDS, home of WEST COAST gangster rap classics from DR. DRE, SNOOP DOGG and TUPAC.
HASBRO CEO BRIAN GOLDNER noted: “The acquisition of eONE adds beloved story-led global family brands that deliver strong operating returns to HASBRO’s portfolio and provides a pipeline of new brand creation driven by family-oriented storytelling.”
