The Athletic Adds 40 New Football Podcasts

THE ATHLETIC has added over 40 new local and national football podcasts for the new season, and is putting many outside the site's paywall for distribution via all major platforms while reserving special bonus episodes for subscribers.

Among the new shows are NFL NETWORK host DAVE DAMESHEK's twice-weekly "FOOTBALL FACT SHEK," starting SEPTEMBER 2nd; NFL Draft experts DANE BRUGLER and CHRIS BURKE's "PROSPECTS TO PROS"; AMY PARLAPIANO's "THE MAIL ROOM," with listener questions answered by THE ATHLETIC's NFL writers; "GEOFF SCHWARTZ IS SMARTER THAN YOU," with the former NFL player; college football podcast "THE ANDY STAPLES SHOW"; betting show "BEST ON THE BOARD" with CHRIS MEANEY and MICHAEL BELLER; BELLER and BRANDON FUNSTON's "WIRE TO WIRE" fantasy football show; BELLER, FUNSTON, and JAKE CIELY's fantasy show "THE RANKINGS SHOW"; and several shows keyed to local teams.
