CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, NORTHRIDGE and SADDLEBACK COLLEGE has announced that radio personality JET is now overseeing marketing and promotions for the station, in addition to hosting some on-air shifts on the combined signals of KCSN and KSBR (88.5 FM).
“No pun intended, but JET is yet another rising star we’ve added to our staff,” said 88.5 FM GM PATRICK OSBURN. “She has tremendous relationships with the promoters, as well as keen instincts for creating win-win promotions for our partners and the station. 88.5 is surging right now, and we needed someone with her organizational skills. There’s also the added bonus that she happens to embody our uptempo, high-energy format.”
JET said, “The new image of ‘The Independent 88.5 FM’ truly coincides with my passion to share great new, local and timeless music every day. At 88.5 FM, I have the opportunity to discover fantastic new artists and the platform to introduce them to our audience, unmatched by any other station and with a world-class team driving it!”
JET has a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from CSUN. She previously worked for 88.5 FM’s news department as a producer. She has worked as an open-mic host at an independent recording studio.
