Shane McAnally Ties For Most Songs Nominated By ‘CMA Awards’

Songwriter-producer SHANE MCANALLY has tied with NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME members ALAN JACKSON and BOB MCDILL for having the most songs nominated in the Song Of The Year category at the CMA AWARDS. MCANALLY scored his seventh nomination today (8/28) for his co-writing credit on the KACEY MUSGRAVES song "Rainbow," from her "Golden Hour" album. Other MCANALLY compositions that have been nominated in previous years include "Mama's Broken Heart" (MIRANDA LAMBERT), "Merry Go Round" (MUSGRAVES), "Follow Your Arrow" (MUSGRAVES), "American Kids" (KENNY CHESNEY), "Take Your Time" (SAM HUNT) and "Body Like A Back Road" (HUNT).
