ALL ACCESS sends belated condolences to friends and family of DWIGHT CASE, who passed away at home in LOS ANGELES surrounded by family and friends on AUGUST 9th. He was 90.
CASE's lengthy career include successful stints as VP/GM of KROY-A/SACRAMENTO, President of RKO RADIO and Top 40s such as KFRC/SAN FRANCISCO, WRKO/BOSTON, KHJ/LOS ANGELES, WHBQ/MEMPHIS and WXLO (99X)/NEW YORK through the end of the 1970s.
In 1980, he launched TRANSTAR, the first 24-hour satellite delivered radio programming provider in the U.S. It would later be absorbed by WESTWOOD ONE, then segued into radio trades -- first at R&R, and then RADIO INK. More recently he was CEO of media management consultancy EQUINOX.
CASE is survived by his wife of 59 years, VIRGINIA, his daughter JAYE, his sons COLE, SCOTT, CRAIG and BRET and their families.
