iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WLAC-A-W252CM (TALKRADIO 98.3)/NASHVILLE host STEVE GILL, who was arrested and jailed AUGUST 20th for nonpayment of child support (NET NEWS 8/22), now faces a divorce filing by his current wife and a temporary order of protection, reports NBC affiliate WSMV-TV/NASHVILLE.
GILL's current wife, who testified against him in the child support case, alleges that GILL abused her, and WSMV reports that she wrote in her request for the protective order that GILL "has pushed me, grabbed me, he likes to block me in the shower when I am nude, standing/blocking [the] shower opening ... screaming at me, intimidating me, call me disgusting names, referencing my appearance, blocking me from running away, pointing in my face with his finger telling me in detail what he will do to me, my family, my assets," She added that she has been staying away from home since FEBRUARY due to being afraid of her husband and that GILL carries a gun that she "would not put it past him" to use on her or her family.
THE TENNESSEE STAR, the conservative website at which GILL served as political editor and on the parent company's board, announced MONDAY that GILL, who remains in jail on $170,000 bond (the amount of child support he owes), has resigned his posts. In MAY, GILL was given 10 days by WILLIAMSON COUNTY Judge JAMES MARTIN in MAY to pay ex-wife KATHRYN B. GILL $170,000 in child support, and was arrested at a hearing when he did not pay.
