TOWNSQUARE MEDIA has flipped two station formats in the QUAD CITIES market.
Sports KJOC (ESPN QUAD CITIES 93.5 FM)BETTENDORF has flipped to Active Rock as I-ROCK 93.5. OM RYAN MCCREDDEN said, "The MIDWEST knows how to rock. I'm thrilled that we are going to be able to bring this new hard rock station to the QUAD CITIES. Finally rockers will be able to listen to all their favorite bands and songs from a local station. We're going to energize the rock fans of the QUAD CITIES with music they will only be able to get on I-ROCK 93.5, irock935.com, and the I-ROCK 93.5 app." 93.5 FM aired an Active Rock format in the late '90s and early 2000s.
The Sports format is living on, moving to its original home, KBOB-A, which has picked up the ESPN RADIO lineup and a local noon-2p (CT) show (JAY FOSTER's "Don't Hassle Us, We're Local") as ESPN 1170 AM, dropping Classic Country in the process. KBOB, then KJOC-A, aired a Sports format twice before, moving to the FM signal in 2014.
