After an hour of stunting BAD BUNNY’s "Fuego Fuego-Faya Faya," AMERICAN GENERAL MEDIA Regional Mexican KJFA/ALBUQUERQUE morphed into "FUEGO 102.9," the only station with a completely bilingual presentation in ALBUQUERQUE. FUEGO’s Latin Urban format -- mostly focused on the reggaetón style of Spanish music -- will be heard commercial-free over the LABOR DAY weekend.
“ALBUQUERQUE has been ready for a unique format like FUEGO 102.9," PD RENE LEON said. "We did an in-depth research and came to the conclusion now is the time to make it hot in ALBUQUERQUE. FUEGO will showcase the hottest Latino artist like BAD BUNNY, J BALVIN, DADDY YANKEE, PITBULL, MALUMA and many more.”
“FUEGO 102.9 is a musical representation the evolving demographic landscape," AGM/ALBUQUERQUE, NM and BAKERSFIELD, CA Regional Dir./Operations & Programming ROBERT LEWIS said. "This is an exciting time for our listeners and our clients as AGM delivers another engaging brand for NEW MEXICO!”
“FUEGO –- means fire -– and it will be hot in ALBUQUERQUE!" AGM/ALBUQUERQUE, NM LARRY LEMANSKI said. "I am very proud of the product we are bringing to ALBUQUERQUE. It will be fun, exciting and very bi-lingual, representing the market here and the changing dynamic of our Hispanic population.”
