Kevin Wheeler Exits WXOS (101 ESPN)/St. Louis

HUBBARD Sports WXOS (101 ESPN)/ST. LOUIS 10a-1p (CT) host KEVIN WHEELER has exited the station.

WHEELER, who worked at crosstown KMOX-A in 2006-13 as host of "SPORTS OPEN LINE" and at SPORTING NEWS RADIO before joining 101 ESPN in 2013, posted a farewell on FACEBOOK saying that last THURSDAY was his last day at the station, adding, "It was not my choice and there really wasn't much of an explanation given, which isn't unusual in our stupid business, but I have a pretty good idea of what it was. Ratings were good, advertisers were happy and I'm probably as low-maintenance as a radio guy can be so... yeah."

The station's website presently shows no replacement for WHEELER in its schedule.
