Music Industry Executive Alton 'Al' Embry Passes Away

ALL ACCESS NASHVILLE extends condolences to the family and friends of music industry executive ALTON "AL" EMBRY, who passed away TODAY (9/9) of natural causes at his home in OLD HICKORY, TN. He was 82.

EMBRY, a longtime manager, agent and talent promoter, began his career as a booking agent at HUBERT LONG INTERNATIONAL AGENCY on NASHVILLE's MUSIC ROW. In 1975, the KENTUCKY native formed his own company, AL EMBRY INTERNATIONAL, and worked with the Country group ALABAMA, as well as iconic artists MICKEY GILLEY, JERRY LEE LEWIS, CHUBBY CHECKER and FATS DOMINO, among others. Additionally, EMBRY served as Executive Producer of various television specials.
