MEL WHEELER INC./ROANOKE-LYNCHBURG President/Co-Owner/GM LEONARD WHEELER is relinquishing GM duties after 27 years, promoting Cluster OM and Country WSLC (94.9 STAR COUNTRY) PD/morning co-host BRETT SHARP to GM and Dir./Sales NADRA SCOTT to VP/Sales.

WHEELER said, “I’m so pleased to announce two moves to improve the management structure of our stations and company. BRETT SHARP has been a critical part of the success of our stations since 2000, when he became Program Director of a new Country station (WSLC-FM) and steered it to become the leading station in the market for more than 11 consecutive years to date. NADRA SCOTT is a more recent blessing to our company, joining us in 2017 as Director of Sales. She came to us from ATLANTA, having extensive experience with COX, LINCOLN FINANCIAL and ENTERCOM in the ATLANTA and FORT LAUDERDALE markets.

“It is our confidence in BRETT and NADRA as an excellent management team that led to these promotions. I will continue to have a close involvement with the stations, as I move from being a General Manager who has been out too much due to other responsibilities, to a President and Owner who will be in the stations a lot. “
