ENTERCOM Sports KCSP-A (610 SPORTS RADIO)/KANSAS CITY has inked a five-year extension of its deal to serve as the flagship radio station for KANSAS CITY ROYALS baseball. The station has carried the ROYALS since 2008 and the extension brings the arrangement through the 2024 season. New to the extended deal will be select weekday afternoon games airing on sister Sports KWOD-A (1660 THE SCORE).
“We are very pleased to extend this valued partnership for five more years,” said ENTERCOM KANSAS CITY Regional Pres./Market Manager DAVE ALPERT. “The ROYALS are part of the thread of KANSAS CITY and it’s a privilege for 610 SPORTS RADIO to be the flagship station of the team.”
“We have been honored to call ENTERCOM our flagship station since our partnership began in 2008. 610 SPORTS RADIO is the home of the ROYALS in KANSAS CITY. It’s a perfect fit for us and our fans, and we are excited to continue that relationship,” said ROYALS SVP Senior Vice President of Business Operations KEVIN UHLICH. “Not only is the signal of 610 SPORTS RADIO recognizable to all sports fans in the area, the ENTERCOM KANSAS CITY cluster of stations makes them an attractive partner to spread the word about ROYALS baseball -- to sports fans and radio listeners of all genres.”
