The Beatles’ 'Abbey Road' To Be Feted On Its 50th Anniversary

On SEPTEMBER 26th, 50 years to the day since the release of THE BEATLES’ “Abbey Road,” VINE STREET in HOLLYWOOD — in front of the iconic CAPITOL RECORDS TOWER — will be the setting for the the city's special celebration of the iconic album.
SIR PATRICK STEWART will be joined by City Council member MITCH O’FARRELL and BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS President KEVIN JAMES to dedicate a VINE STREET crosswalk and unveil a new official city sign at CAPITOL RECORDS TOWER. The event will also recreate the famed "Abbey Road" “ zebra-striped street crossing for photos and videos; BEATLES music and merch; pop-up shops; food trucks and free exclusive takeaway items will also be part of the celebration.
There will also be a custom double-decker bus decked out "Abbey Road" style, playing the new 2019 stereo mix from the Anniversary Edition.
