The RIAA certified 35 album awards and 246 song awards in AUGUST, and while no Country albums were certified last month, there were plenty of Platinum and Gold Country singles.
BRETT YOUNG’s “In Case You Didn’t Know” was certified quintuple-Platinum for sales of five million units. KEITH URBAN’s “The Fighter” and “You’ll Think Of Me” were each certified double platinum. Digital singles earning Platinum certification were: JASON ALDEAN feat. MIRANDA LAMBERT’s “Drowns The Whiskey,” KELSEA BALLERINI’s “Miss Me More,” BILLY CURRINGTON’s “We Are Tonight,” CHASE RICE’s “Eyes On You,” and eight more titles from URBAN. They are: “Sweet Thing,” “Making Memories of Us,” “Tonight I Wanna Cry,” “Kiss A Girl,” “Only You Can Love Me This Way,” “Somewhere In My Car,” “Stupid Boy,” and “Long Hot Summer.”
AUGUST’s’ Gold-certified singles (for sales of a half-million units) are: LUKE BRYAN’S “Knockin’ Boots,” OLD DOMINION’s “Happy Endings” and “Hotel Key,” CARRIE UNDERWOOD’S “Love Wins”, and a dozen songs from URBAN: “You Gonna Fly,” “You Look Good In My Shirt,” “Better Life,” “Til Summer Comes Around,” “Once In A Lifetime,” “You’re My Better Half,” “Put You In A Song,” “I Told You So,” “Little Bit Of Everything,” “Female,” “Raise ‘Em Up,” and “Without You.”
