YouTube Music’s Global Foundry Program Reveals Its Biggest Class Of Independent Artists Yet

YOUTUBE MUSIC welcomed 14 new artists to FOUNDRY, a global artist development program helping independent artists at early stages of their careers, using music and storytelling to engage fans across borders. On the heels of FOUNDRY’S 2019 first class, announced last APRIL, this new class is the biggest yet, bringing this year’s total number of FOUNDRY-supported artists to 25.
The new diverse FOUNDRY class represents genres from around the globe, including heavy-hitting Country singer-songwriter HARDY, NORWEGIAN pop singer-songwriter GIRL IN RED, rap and pop producer KENNY BEATS, LONDON folk-rocker BEABADOOBEE, COMPTON-raised house musician CHANNEL TRES, jazzy SOUTH KOREAN pop-rocker SAM KIM, Parisian rapper LEAN CHIHIRO, BAY AREA alt-reggaeton newcomer LA DOÑA, East England’s teen balladeer ALFIE TEMPLEMAN, NIGERIAN rapper and singer REMA, hip-hop experimentalist JPEGMAFIA, JAPANESE artist SANARI, ATLANTA R&B singer BABY ROSE, and OAKLAND rapper GUAPDAD 4000.
