Mexican Musical Icon José José Succumbs To Pancreatic Cancer

Following a two year battle with pancreatic cancer, MEXICAN crooner JOSÉ JOSÉ passed away SATURDAY (9/28) in a MIAMI hospital at the age of 71, according to the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
Over his four-decade career JOSÉ JOSÉ had many Gold and Platinum albums which was topped by his 1983 collection "Secretos" which sold in excess of 7 million copies.
Honored with a star on the HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME in 2004, JOSÉ JOSÉ was inducted into the BILLBOARD LATIN MUSIC HALL OF FAME and received a lifetime achievement award from the LATIN GRAMMYS.
Born JOSÉ ROMULO SOSA ORTIZ in MEXICO CITY, JOSÉ JOSÉ is survived by SARA, his third wife, and three children.
