GRIFFIN COMMUNICATIONS News-Talk KFAQ-A/TULSA is adding simulcasts of sister CBS affiliate KOTV-DT's "NEWS ON SIX" in three time slots and moving morning host PAT CAMPBELL to 7a-noon (CT), beginning TOMORROW (10/1).
The move clears the way for a simulcast of KOTV's "SIX IN THE MORNING" 5-7a, followed by CAMPBELL 7a-noon, a simulcast of "NEWS ON SIX" noon-1p, the syndicated "BUSINESS ROCKSTARS" 1-2p, WESTWOOD ONE's BEN SHAPIRO 3-4p, more "NEWS ON 6" simulcasting 4-6:30p, COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS' "JOE PAGS" PAGLIARULO 6:30-9p, and the syndicated MARK LEVIN, "COAST TO COAST AM," and "AMERICA'S FIRST NEWS" overnights.
“These are very exciting moves for KFAQ. PAT’s show is a TULSA staple and having him on at 7 a.m. will allow more folks to catch that show. We’re also excited to be able to offer NEWS ON 6 broadcasts live on the radio,” said VP/COO ROB KRIER. “Since the days of NEWS ON 6 being available on 87.7 FM [from the audio of KOTV's former analog signal], folks have asked for this and we’re so glad that we can offer it again.”
“These moves fit perfectly with our emphasis on locally produced, relevant content,” said Dir. of Operations STEVE HUNTER. “This is going to be a great fit for our listeners.”
