NAB PILOT Program Announces Recipients Of Internship Grants For Spring 2020

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS' PILOT technology initiative has announced the winners of grants to broadcasting companies to offer paid internships to undergraduate students in radio and television engineering/technology positions.
The grant recipients for the SPRING 2020 term are BUTLER COUNTY RADIO NETWORK News-Talk WISR-A, Country WBUT-A, and Active Rock WLER/BUTLER, PA; SCRIPPS ABC affiliate KNXV-TV (ABC 1)/PHOENIX; MARQUEE BROADCASTING NBC-CBS-MeTV affiliate WNKY-TV (NBC 40/CBS 40/MeTV 40)/BOWLING GREEN, KY; and MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY News-Talk WKAR-A, Classical-News-Talk WKAR-F, and PBS affiliate WKAR-TV/EAST LANSING, MI.
NAB EVP/CTO SAM MATHENY said, “We have been encouraged by the response to this program and are thrilled to continue it for a second year. PILOT and the NAB LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION remain committed to assisting NAB member stations in attracting the best and brightest new candidates to a career in broadcast technology.”
NAB LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION President MICHELLE DUKE added, “The NAB FOUNDATION is happy to provide opportunities with PILOT for students in the broadcast technology and engineering fields. Our intent is to continue to expand the pool of talent for our industry.”
