Ramsey Solutions Debuts 'Borrowed Future' Podcast On How To Go To College Without Student Loans

RAMSEY SOLUTIONS has released its latest podcast, an eight-part series on one of the most pressing financial issues in AMERICA, dealing with student loans. "BORROWED FUTURE" is part of an array of offerings designed to help Americans avoid running into student loan trouble (and attend college without needing student loans) and includes interviews with MARK CUBAN, SETH GODIN, and DAVE RAMSEY.

“Americans have been fed a lie -- that it’s impossible to afford college without student loans,” said RAMSEY. “That lie has the average graduate burdened with over $35,000 in student loans from the moment they’re handed their diplomas. The system is broken, and we want people to know the truth -- it is possible to pay cash for college!” 

The other elements of RAMSEY's student loan education efforts include a "Debt-Free Degree Town Hall" held last evening with RAMSEY and ANTHONY ONEAL; a "Debt-Free Degree Scholarship Giveaway" with $10,000 in scholarships for eligible 9th through 12th grade students; a “Debt-Free Degree” book by ONEAL, coming OCTOBER 7th; and more tools, like a college cost calculator, scholarship search tool, and college-visit checklist , all at ONEAL's website.
 
“Parents and teens believe that student loans are the only option. But debt doesn’t open doors -- it closes them,” said ONEAL. “I travel the country speaking to thousands of people each year, and I meet students all the time who are working hard, applying for scholarships and grants and are actually graduating debt-free. I believe more parents and students can do this, but they need a plan. We’re here to provide that plan.”
