The next edition of FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION's News-Talk radio special is coming for the VETERANS DAY weekend and CUMULUS News-Talk WMAL/WASHINGTON morning co-host MARY WALTER is returning to host the show.
"THE FISHER HOUSE STORY -- IN THEIR OWN WORDS" is again being produced by THE JEFF WYATT GROUP and will be available in 3-hour, 1-hour, and 30-minute versions, telling the story of the FISHER HOUSE program, which builds facilities near VA and military hospitals to allow families of veterans in medical crises to stay near their loved ones free of charge. This year's edition will tell stories like those of U.S. ARMY Ranger Sgt. 1st Class CORY REMSBURG and his family, who stayed at three different FISHER HOUSEs during his treatment, and retired polytrauma social work supervisor SCOTT SKILES, speaking about his experiences with families staying at FISHER HOUSE facilities.
“THE FISHER HOUSE STORY talk show shares the inspiring stories of service members and veterans during VETERANS DAY and the holiday season,” said FISHER HOUSE President DAVE COKER. “MARY WALTER skillfully guides us through these accounts.”
