SUMMITMEDIA Country WQNU (Q103.1)/LOUISVILLE morning host DINGO is set to sign off on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4th. He’s heading back to his hometown of HUNTSVILLE, AL for an as yet undisclosed new radio job. APD/afternoon driver KRISTIN MONICA will move to mornings beginning MONDAY, OCTOBER 7th. No replacement has been named in afternoons.
DINGO, who has been in radio since 2001, joined WQNU in 2016 from mornings at BARNA BROADCASTING Country KSWG/PHOENIX (NET NEWS 6/28/16). Upon his arrival, WQNU introduced him to the market by hoisting him 40 feet in the air on a boom lift overlooking I65, as he urged listeners to take “The Redneck Revolution Pledge.” He has also done mornings in ALABAMA, FLORIDA, SOUTH CAROLINA, and ARKANSAS.
MONICA joined Q103.1 in MAY from CUMULUS Country WFYR (NASH-FM)/PEORIA, IL, where she was APD/Digital Dir./Program Coord. and on-air personality (NET NEWS 5/14).
