KLBJ-A/Austin Changes: Jeff Ward Exits, Ed Clements Gets New Co-Hosts

As SINCLAIR TELECABLE takes full ownership of News-Talk KLBJ-A-K259AJ/AUSTIN, the station has shuffled its afternoon lineup.

In the changes, afternoon co-host JEFF WARD has exited the station. WARD's co-host ED CLEMENTS is moving from 3-7p (CT) to 2-6p, joined by 10-11a and 2-3p hosts MARK CAESAR and MELINDA BRYANT in the 2-4p hours and sister Alternative KROX (101X) morning host JASON DICK in the 4-6p hours, which will focus on sports topics. The station is expanding its carriage of PREMIERE's BUCK SEXTON to start an hour earlier at 6p. A message at the station's website reads, "Sometimes, it’s just time for a change -- and NEWSRADIO KLBJ keeps reinventing itself with live local shows and the best national programming."
