Pedro Escalera Exits 'Latino 102.7' Austin

On day one after SINCLAIR/WATERLOO MEDIA completed its buyout of EMMIS/AUSTIN, PEDRO ESCALERA (PEDRO AL AIRE), who was PD/Morning host on Bilingual Top 40 KLZT-HD2/K274AX (LATINO 102.7) exits the building. ESCALERA joined EMMIS/AUSTIN 2009 and was a part of the launch of both of EMMIS’ Spanish language brands beginning with Regional Mexican KLZT (LA Z) in 2009. 

He began his career in PHOENIX, AZ at then HISPANIC BROADCASTING CORPORATION Regional Mexican KHOT, followed by stops at SUN CITY COMM Bilingual Top 40 KVIB and CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 KZZP (104.7 KISS FM) as well as BORDER MEDIA/AUSTIN.  Pedro’s back-round includes experience in all day parts on air, production and imaging director, MD/APD and PD.
