Kimberly Howell Named Inspector General At Corporation For Public Broadcasting

The CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING's Board of Directors has named WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY Deputy Inspector General KIMBERLY HOWELL as its new Inspector General. HOWELL replaces the retired MARY MITCHELSON and will start her position on OCTOBER 7th.
"I am pleased to have KIMBERLY HOWELL take on this important position to ensure that CPB is accountable to the taxpayers that we serve by working to prevent fraud, waste and abuse," said CPB Board Chair BRUCE RAMER. "She is an experienced federal executive with extensive leadership experience in investigations, program oversight, compliance and quality assurance.”
HOWELL said, "I am honored by this appointment and look forward to working with the CPB Board of Directors and the CPB management team to enhance the Corporation’s vital role in effectively and efficiently advancing public media in the UNITED STATES."
