SSR COMMUNICATIONS News-Talk WYAB/JACKSON, MS 2-4p (CT) host JAMES TULP has launched a campaign for Congress in MISSISSIPPI's Third Congressional District, running as a Republican in the 2020 primary against incumbent Rep. MICHAEL GUEST (R-MS).
TULP is running as a populist alleging that GUEST is too liberal for the district, despite GUEST voting with President TRUMP's position 95.7% of the time, according to FIVE THIRTY EIGHT's "TRUMP Score."
On FACEBOOK, TULP thanked supporters on the first day of his campaign THURSDAY (10/3), saying, "I love you all. MISSISSIPPI is the greatest place on EARTH -- and it's not even close. We will win this thing. I will fight for you." His campaign materials tout him as "a young conservative talk radio host and former college professor" who wants to "take on AOC and THE SQUAD" and alleges that the economic system "has only catered to globalist elites on the coasts" rather than "American citizens."
