TWIN CITIES mainstay, HUBBARD Hot AC KSTP-FM (KS95)/ST.PAUL-MINNEAPOLIS afternoon co-host LARRY “MOON” THOMPSON, half of the massive MOON & STACI SHOW hangs up his headphones after their show this afternoon, wrapping up seventeen years. MOON was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2005 and announced his retirement in the spring (ALL ACCESS 5/14/19). He told The Minneapolis Star Tribune, “Taking away my microphone is like taking away a guitar from Prince. Radio has been my oxygen. Whatever I’ve had to deal with in my life — deaths in the family, losses of marriage, addiction — I’ve always had that microphone. Not having it is going to be hard.”
STACI MATTHEWS will be joined by new co-host GREG “HUTCH” HUTCHINSON on MONDAY, on the newly re-branded STACI & HUTCH SHOW. HUTCH has prior MINNESOTA experience as BRAD STEELE on ALPHA MEDIA Z99/MANKATO.
THOMPSON had been a KSTP-FM staple since 2002.
The ALL ACCESS staff wishes nothing but the best for one of the best, LARRY "MOON" THOMPSON!
