Ex-WFAN/New York Host Chris Carlin Visits Former Rival Show At WEPN (ESPN New York 98.7FM), But Don't Call It A Fill-In

Former ENTERCOM Sports WFAN-A-F/NEW YORK host CHRIS CARLIN appeared on rival ESPN Sports WEPN-F (ESPN NEW YORK 98.7FM) WEDNESDAY (10/9). However, rather than filling in for PETER ROSENBERG on MICHAEL KAY's show while ROSENBERG observed YOM KIPPUR, CARLIN was labeled a "guest" and limited to an hour of the show after, according to KAY, ENTERCOM notified ESPN before the show started that CARLIN would otherwise be jeopardizing payout of the remaining amount due under his contract.

The NEW YORK POST reports that CARLIN avoided criticism of WFAN, ENTERCOM, and his former colleagues during the show, calling former co-hosts MAGGIE GRAY and BART SCOTT his "best friends" and his time producing MIKE FRANCESA and CHRISTOPHER "MAD DOG" RUSSO "an incredible experience for seven and a half years."
